Meet {and greet} Heleyna Holmes.
How long have you been a photographer?
I have always been a photographer at heart! And officially started my business in October of 2009.
No shoots today, where can we find you?
Out and about with my almost 2 year old son, he is the love of my life.
What’s on your walls?
Mostly framed prints, although I do plan on adding some much needed canvases to my walls soon.
What's your favorite product that you sell?
Any print with texture added makes me one happy camper.
What's the biggest size image you have displayed in your home?
A 16x20 print of the twins that I nanny for walking in Lincoln Park with my little guy on his first birthday.
Where do you shoot most of your sessions?
Local parks, but the location options are endless in Seattle. I am open to anything, and I love when clients
suggest new locations. I have learned of so many
great new spots in my first six months of business.
Proofing…online or in person?
I do all my proofing in person!
What is your... Sweet treat?
Sad to say…I love Pepsi!
Favorite thing in your closet?
No Question my flip flops.
Nikon or Canon?
Nikon
Any weaknesses in this business?
Bookkeeping is for the birds.
Facebook?
YES…and if you are not a fan become one, I do a lot of fan only specials!
.
It’s Friday night, what are you up to?
Hanging with the fam! Probably at home with a pizza
from Pagliaccii. I could not love their pizza more
the AGOG primo, is to die for. Add the Pepsi I
mentioned above and I am in heaven. Good thing the
gym is just down the street!
So you are a photographer and a full time mom, how does that work?
Did I mention Pepsi! Caffeine is one of my best
friends we go way back!
Any family ritual you would like to share?
Snuggling in the morning with my little guy has become somewhat of a ritual. He has just in the last month or so became a little love
bug. I just can’t get enough of his hugs and wet
kisses.
If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?
I will always be a nanny at heart.
Proudest moment of your career to date?
Geez…I guess it would be fellow small business owners liking my work enough to display it in their
businesses. That is a pretty big
honor. Oh and I did have a mom cry once when I
presented her prints to her. That surely takes the cake.
