How adorable is she?!

I just had to share this session from Wild Hearts Farm in Tacoma. I have been shooting in the south sound so often lately, I think its time to add Tacoma family photographer to my portfolio.

This sweet little lady has the biggest brown doe eyes. I swear to you she can smile with her eyes. It is magical and a photographers dream. My first shoot for this little one was wwwaaaayyy back when she was still in her Mama’s tummy. It has been such a joy to photograph her as she has grown over the last two years. If she looks familiar that’s because she has starred in a few commercial/magazine shoots for me.  My assistant and I joke that we need to start our own talent agency JUST so we can be the first to sign HER.

We started this shoot smack dab in the middle of the day when the sun was blazing. Luckily, there’s an amazing spot at Wild Hearts Farm that’s cool and shaded. The foliage is so lush and green. It’s got Heleyna Holmes Photography-Tacoma Family Photographer (like what I did there) written all over it.

I wanted to do something extraordinary with her dark hair, brown eyes, and golden skin tone. My vision was a flowy summer dress, sun hat and a stuffed lovie from our friends at Bunnies By The Bay. I knew that this light pink dress I had on hand would work perfectly. And I was thrilled that she was willing to keep the sunhat on most of our session. Of course the interactions with the kitty from Bunnies By The Bay needed no art direction. Their entire line is an instant win with children of all ages.
